The book awakening is about a confused girl found in the middle of an explosion, who knows nothing about her past. In the hospital she goes by Jane Doe, but when she goes to the children's home, she eventually becomes friends with a boy names Daniel, and she shortens her name to J.D. Daniel and J.D. want to start searching for her mother. Soon she learns her name is Alexis when her mother finds her and takes her home. She keeps having flashbacks and is trying to be Alexis. She soon realizes something is weird about her doctor and can't figure out what it is. It turns our that her mother and doctor are trying to make her seem crazy. J.D. turns into a really strong and brave kid. This book is filled with action and mystery in the present day, and I would recommend reading.
