Eragon

In the book Eragon, the main characters are Eragon, Saphira, Brom, Murtagh, the witch Angela, a shade, and the evil Dragon Rider Galbatorix. In the beginning, Eragon finds Saphira’s dragon egg and hatches a dragon; he becomes a Dragon Rider and is being hunted down by Galbatorix’s troops. Near the middle, Brom dies from monsters sent by Galbatorix and he meets Murtagh. At the end of the book, Eragon gets to The Varden and he saves the rebels from Galbatorix. I think that the Theme to Eragon is that you need to stand up to what you believe in no matter what. The Author’s Purpose is to entertain. There are many settings, the main ones being the towns, the lake, the farm, and The Varden. Eragon’s genre is fantasy, and the Character Development is that Eragon and Saphira learned that they have to fight other humans to gain their freedom.
