Harry Potter (By J.K. Rowling)

The main characters in all of the Harry Potter books are Harry, Hermione and Ron. On Harry's 12th birthday, he finds out that he is actually a wizard. Now he must adjust to his new life, realizing that he is the only person to ever survive the killing curse (one of the three unforgivable curses) cast by the dark lord himself, lord Voldemort, when Harry was just a baby. The author's purpose is to entertain. The story takes place in Modern day, London. Harry changes throughout the series, turning from a young naive boy to a serious young man, who faces challenges on a daily basis. The Harry Potter series goes under the Sci-Fi and Magical/Mythical fiction genre. J.K. Rowling wrote a total of seven Harry Potter books, plus three supplemental books.
