Edward uses his powers and stops the van. from that point on it makes her curious. She figures out hes a vampire and they fall In love. the other vampires try to take her and kill her. James , Victoria, and Laurent are the bad vampires. Stephenie wrote this book to put audience on the edges of our seats. she is tell us to not let things fall in your way when your truly in love.
