The Great Wide Sea

In this the book "The Great Wide Sea" (M.T Herlong) there are four main characters. there is the three boys a eight year old, thirteen year old, and a sixteen year old, the other is their dad. the plot is there mom is dead and the dad can't take it anymore and he takes them down to Florida for a year long sail boat trip. the author's purpose is that when you get scared you just can't leave your house. the setting is there on a sail boat going down to the Bahamas to the Bermuda triangle. on the sea of the Atlantic. the genre is the author in my opinion is that at the time he was mad at someone in his family for doing something that he didn't want them to do.
